About the network

What is the National Quality Network?

An independent professional community for Education, Quality, and Teaching, Learning & Assessment specialists across Further Education.

NQN brings people together to share, support one another and think differently about how we improve the quality of education for learners, and how we help staff be the best they can be. It’s for everyone shaping quality across the sector: FE colleges, sixth form colleges, independent training providers and the wider FE community.

Leading quality in FE is complex, and it can feel isolating. Professionals shouldn’t have to navigate it alone or keep reinventing solutions others have already explored. Together, we learn faster, work smarter and have greater impact.

That’s also what makes NQN different. We’re not just a place to share resources. We build the relationships and honest conversations that help people grow, adapt and lead meaningful improvement.

The heart of it
We combine professional challenge with genuine encouragement, strategic thinking with practical application, and honest conversations with actionable ideas.
Meaningful improvement starts with people
Diverse perspectives create stronger solutions
Challenge should build confidence, not diminish it
Quality should be owned, not done to people
